I recently ran some comparison tests on two popular story-outlining software tools: StoryView, and Power Structure. Unlike Movie Magic Screenwriter and Final Draft, they are not intended to create a final script, but to help you create a story that will actually be worth turning INTO a script.
Both products have been around for several years and are well established. Being a software geek, I was curious to see how each stood up under prolonged use.
Fact is, while taking quite different approaches to outlining and story development, StoryView and Power Structure actually have quite a lot of good things in common.
